Finished up on my 48" SD deck restore. Here is the finished product. New blades are on order. Enjoy!

I REALLY need to get my deck off The Beast and do the same. No way it will be that nice though. My goal would be to preserve function.

terrific - looks awesome!!! Did you get new complete spindles, or just housings, or what? I can relate the time and effort to do your deck!........... Here are some photos of a 42 sd and an 42 rd I just rehabbed in past 2 months.

Those decks look great! I got some used spindles on eBay that much better housings with very little corrosion damage. I rebuilt them with new bearings and treated outside of the housings with POR-15.

I've applied it to the underside of a couple decks and it sticks the same amount of time to the spindles as it does to the deck. I figure it's better than nothing as a corrosion barrier from the grass. And it's much thicker than paint.
