Daron1965 644 #1 Posted December 15, 2023 Its been a few years since I plowed snow with a wheelhorse. What rear tire pressure do you recommend with tire chains?

Jon Paulsen 290 #3 Posted December 15, 2023 You only need enough air to keep the tires bead in place on the rim. Ran a Willy's Jeep ON road at 5 PSI for 33X12.50's. 1

MY fluid "filled" tires have a small air space - and I run 10 psi.... Helps swell the tire to "tighten" up the chains.

The filling keeps the bead out towards the rim. Our first attempt at fluid filling was about a year ago for my C160 Automatic Tractor. 23 x 10.50 x 12. Should have held 7 gallons. We used tubes. Started with new empty still flattened out tubes. We kept relieving the air from around the stem. Managed to get 8 gallons in one, just less in the other. The fluid was actually under a little pressure when we were done. We know this because it made a hilarious mess when we removed the pump hose to install the valve stems. 1
