lynnmor 7,321 #101 Posted April 12 All of my mower deck mule drives are tilted out leaving plenty of slack in the specified belt when tension is released. I suppose this is by design to make it easy to remove and install the deck.

ebinmaine 67,766 #103 Posted April 13 Delivered the C121 today! Got to say hi in person to @PWL216. Great to see you as always. My father got a quick lesson in operations and drove across the yard to the new home. He mentioned it would be a learning curve but that he did like the Motion Control Lever setup.. 1
ebinmaine 67,766 #104 Posted September 2 Folks I could use a little help with adding appropriate safety switches. My mom wants to have a good mower on hand so various people can use it. These people would be known good operators with common sense and instruction. Mom doesn't want anyone to be taking chances so we're considering adding whatever switches would run the PTO and foot pedal. How do I find these switches? What years range would they have been on? Maybe a schematic diagram available?
c-series don 8,737 #105 Posted September 2 (edited) @ebinmaine There’s three, one for the PTO, one for the brake pedal and one for the seat switch. You’ll need to get the wiring schematic which as you know is available here. Brian at K+B Wheel Horse Parts may have what you need. 953 nut 55,393 #106 Posted September 2 Eric, as shown in the wiring diagram for the C-XX1 there were PTO, seat, and brake peddle switches on the tractor as built. We should be able to find good replacement switches by going through the IPL for the C-121. I don't remember if you covered your wiring in this post but the diagram below shows how the safety switches fit into your wiring. I will go back through this thread to refresh my memory about your wiring. 1

953 nut 55,393 #109 Posted September 3 Eric, having looked over the photos in your post it appears you used the wiring from the C-121 so the PTO switch may be there already. Any single pole normally open momentary pushbutton switch that will be activated by the seat pushing down on its springs will be fine for the seat switch. Without weight in the seat the two springs will hold the seat up far enough to keep the switch open and cut off power to the coil. https://www.google.com/search?q=single+pole+normally+open+momentary+push+button+switch&rlz=1C1JZAP_enUS981US981&oq=single+pole+normally+open+momentary+&gs_lcrp=EgZjaHJvbWUqBwgFECEYqwIyCQgAEEUYORifBTIHCAEQIRigATIHCAIQIRigATIHCAMQIRigATIHCAQQIRigATIHCAUQIRirAtIBCTQyNzEzajBqN6gCALACAA&sourceid=chrome&ie=UTF-8 A very similar switch could be mounted to a shop built bracket where the switch would be compressed when the brake pedal is depressed all the way. The wire from the "S" terminal of the ignition switch that goes to the solenoid would go through this switch. With the brake pedal pushed down the switch would close allowing power to go from the ignition switch to the solenoid, if the pedal is not pushed down the key switch will not be able to close the solenoid. Hope this helps you.
