Jeremiah elliott 29 #1 Posted December 9, 2023 Does anyone have an original or like for like reproduction of the 1962 552 seat? The seat that is on mine isn’t big enough and kinda uncomfy. But if it’s the original so be it, but it also broke on me today after a little ramp loading incident. Everything else is ok my body broke it’s fall. But the center bolt pulled through the seat. Gonna put washers on it for now to make it usable but wanna replace it.
8ntruck 7,006 #2 Posted December 9, 2023 Glad the damage to man and machine in your ramp loading incident was minimal. There is something to be said for backing a tractor up the ramps. Much more stable that way. 1

My weight shifted on the seat and it is slightly rusty at the bolt hole. I added a washer and it’s good again. But figured now is better than ever to replace it. Wife wasn’t very happy with me.

Adding the washer is a Band-aid fix - the flexing will get worse as you ride it and it becomes a butt pincher !! Time to do a proper repair, or replace it....
