            It is capable of making and receiving phone calls as well as telling me what time it is and what the date is, what more would you want to do with a phone?

I do have to say, although I use my iPhone 12 a lot, every day, sometimes I miss the simplicity of a flip phone that is just "a phone". Plus, working on machines and mowing & such with a very expensive computer in my pocket can be a bit nerve-racking.  But on the other hand, I am an IT guy and actually have to use an app on the phone to authenticate my logins to the VPNs at work. But.... employer won't pay for the phone...   Previous employer gave me a company phone... but then I had to carry 2 around. Sheesh.

I used to have a company phone that was a slider.  It was also incapable of receiving group texts.  My manager got tried of me missing the info in the group texts, so he got the IT department to upgrade me to an I phone.

 

I told my manager that I didn't trust it.  Got a puzzled look from him, and he asked why?  I replied that I didn't trust it 'cause it didn't have real buttons.

Not quite Jimbo.       This is my main shop phone....It even has a long range coiled wire, never needs charged, and always has 5 bars.

@Ed Kennell we had a rotary phone in the basement growing up.  The wireless replacements, they didn’t work when we frequently lost power.  I was quite good at spinning that dial.  Now, it has been stripped of it’s cord and hangs out in the toy box for the nieces and nephews when they come over.  No, we didn’t remove the cord for safety.  It was violently ripped away from it by a very young small child!
