I just picked this up for free trying to get it running rn acts like it's not getting fuel

  Assuming it has spark…probably worth cleaning out the entire fuel system, run new rubber fuel line, new filter etc. 

  Pop off the carb and give it a good cleaning as well.

Nice find, I could find homes for a few of those.  Fuel pump is a likely suspect.  I might be inclined to drop the carburetor bowl and crank it over a few times, see if there's any flow.

Yea it's my very first rider I couldn't beat it for being free I always heard wheel horse was a great brand to

I had the same issue. Tractor was running fine one minute then it wouldn’t turn over. Drain your fuel filter and fuel lines. If the filter is a clear one you should see fuel being sucked into the filter, if not then it’s you fuel pump. I had to replace the fuel pump which was an easy change. Connected everything and after a few times of turning it over it started. Good Luck.

@suburban/life  typically the fuel tank debris , also ethanol fuel  eats rubber hoses ,  you would be smart to go over all related points , like fuel tank valve replacement , clean out tank , put a fuel filter close to tank and another closer to carb , like the clear fuel rated hose , they firm up but don't break down like rubber . you will be doing a base line service , greasing / oil change , electrical wire issues , greasing every fitting . let us know , good luck , pete

You heard correctly, Wheel Horses are outstanding. As @Sparky and others said, drain out the old gas, replace the fuel hose and filter, clean up the carburetor,check the fuel pump and use real gas, not the 10% Ethanol junk.     https://www.pure-gas.org/

Hmmmm a free 310-8..... sounds familiar. Good luck with it. Mine was free as well. I replaced the fuel lines, fuel pump, carburetor,  and head gasket.  Gave it a little paint and new decals. It now runs and drive like a new machine.

Last ( free ) one I restored pulled the fuel line on the supply side of the pump used a new piece fuel hose into a can of fresh gas get it running to see what I had - any tractor I pick up is getting a tank cleaning - new shut off and grommet - new fuel hose and filter - always a good idea to bypass the old fuel system first so you're not pulling any crud into the pump carb and combustion chamber .

As well as new fuel lines, and clean out the carb. With the screen on the tank, you really don't need a filter and those can sometimes restrict flow.

we got it running the fuel was clean it was empty when I got it all we had to do was dump some fuel in the carb and she fired right up
