Raven714 6 #1 Posted November 17, 2023 Hey Wheelhorse enthusiasts! 🚜 Exciting news – just snagged a 310-8 with cab and snowblower at an amazing price! 🌨️ It's my second Wheelhorse; my trusty 312-8 has been with me since 1990 with a snow blade. Any tips on attaching the snowblower to the 310-8? The belt seems a bit short for the PTO pulley, and I'm wondering if it's a good fit (model 50171). Leave the belt on the blower and vee idler as in your picture and put the belt above the flat idler pulley. Then put the belt on the inside PTO pulley. Then use a 2X4 over the front axle to pry up the Vee idler pulley until you can hook the belt over the flat idler pulley. Raven714 6 #8 Posted November 17, 2023 Thanks for the serpentine belt photo, connected to the PTO and works great. have the flag, trying to determine where that goes and how the bar underneath connects. Has anyone ever connected a small winch to the tractor for easier lifting? Also, the snow chute only had a wire cable connected to the turn handle which would only allow the chute to move in one direction? I would think it would be similar to a push snowblower, allow it to move both ways. I really appreciate your help on this. 2 Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
ri702bill 8,316 #9 Posted November 17, 2023 Your flag does not have the angled tab to connect the "Lift Assist" extension spring. I added one on to my NOS 1963 32" snowblower for my 854 - it does help - IF adjusted properly. Later models did come with the tab... Bill Share this post Link to post Share on other sites

Washers/spacers can be inserted on the flag rod to increase the blower lift height. If the wire cable is wound correctly, the chute will rotate from full left to right. peter lena 8,612 #15 Posted November 18, 2023 @Raven714 in addition to correct belt routing go over the EASE OF MOVEMENT , ON RELATED PULLEYS , typically there is a rough , grinding / noisy pulley , would also get a specific chain / cable lubricant for the snow auger , chain drive , while adjusting auger chain to " 1/2 " middle of chain play . the easier that rotates the better it works , if you have a screaming clutch ,pto lever related noise , its telling you of a related , drag issue . also note in the schematic all of the related movement points , penetrating oil / first , then aerosol red grease , should be smooth / easy / Pete Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
