Mike'sHorseBarn 2,998 #1 Posted November 15, 2023 I know these have next to no value, but I got this when dad brought home his 18 auto because it was going to go to the scrapper otherwise. It sat since the late 90's in a shed and honestly I got it running without a lot of issues. It wasn't charging and had a burned out charge coil, so I put a new alternator under the flywheel, rebuilt the carb, new air filter, fuel lines and fluids. It honestly works pretty good for what its is. I was using it in my small yard in town to chop leaves and it didn't skip a beat! It needs new blades on the deck though. Anyone have a part number for those? It has a 36" deck. Since I have more money into it than it's probably worth, I guess I'll have to keep it

Plucky things, they are, and it’ll serve you for many years with the care you are giving it. 👍

Retired Wrencher 5,465 #8 Posted November 16, 2023 Mike I would say if well maintained it will last. May be in summer take the head off check out the piston bore so you are not wasting your time and money.

It probably at the very least needs decarboned though.
