Sweet whip!  Not near as classic, I had an ‘81 Olds Delta 88 with the 5.7 Diesel in high school.  I know many people hated that engine, but it never let me down and the car rode so smooth!  It could even haul a v8 Chevy in the trunk with the lid latched!

I had a '73 Sedan DeVille and had two automatic tranny's in the trunk and the lid closed :handgestures-thumbupright:

Sweet ride! Last of the "real" Cadillacs iny opinion. My grandfather had 2 Cadillac dealerships in the late 70s thru the early 90s. Cadillac was all my parents drove. I've had over a dozen. Currently have a CT5.

Properly maintained & addressing a few of the 5.7 shortcomings they can be made reliable.

We took bets when the Olds Diesels got towed in. I always went with the ever popular broken crankshaft. :helmet:

I converted an Olds diesel wagon to gas for a buddy of mine about 25 or 30 years ago. He always had it in the shop and it was always breaking down so he got tired of the diesel problems and asked if I could convert it. :banana-wrench:
