John Rizzardi 70 #1 Posted November 10, 2023 I’ve uploaded a few pics of my snow blade, i bought it cause it fits my 414-8, and its been laying around outside for a while, i have no idea what type of grease, oil, lube in general, anybody out here advise me of what i should pay attention to while working on it? peter lena 8,614 #7 Posted November 10, 2023 @John Rizzardi done a number of those blades , first thing , flip over the lower wear bar , on bottom edge of blade .light corner showing more wear than other side , personally set that up on milk crates or elevated enough to roller stool around it , verifying issues , and fix , Steering QUADRANT , slide pin , penetrating oil , makes the rust run out , then aerosol red grease , also experiment with the squeeze lever connection rod , usually sloppy, snug up end connection areas , more direct action / function , lubricate as you go .also get 2, 1/8 " hair pin clips for rear axel lever hold point , slide in to last big hole , won't fall out , swing lever , lower " triangle " , install , longer mount bolt , elastic lock nut , so you can dial in movement " sweet spot " nut will hold setting , lubricate . would also go after the lift lever rod bronze bushings , and snug up LIFT TRUNNION , washer , eliminating , play , and lube , is what you want . use a roller stool around it to verify improvements , then install , also blade front lubrication , for snow slide . can work with ease , Pete 1 Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
