Treepep 564 #2 Posted November 8, 2023 C120 and GT-14. My weekly mower is a JD LT-155. 200-2001? My property mower is a 1977 Yanmar YM-2000 with a 4' brush cutter I have a few David Bradley 2 wheel tractors. These do nearly all of the tilling/ground turning. I havent found anything more efficient. A handful of mixed use pull start. Mostly little antique tillers. I thought about rigging one to my horse however I am unable to make myself disassemble them.
ebinmaine 67,432 #3 Posted November 8, 2023 Not counting the Herd of 13 Wheelhorses in various states of repair: We have a Snapper push mower. Ariens Commercial Grade Walk behind snowblower. Homemade "Monster" wood splitter. Many moons ago I had a mid-60s JD round fender. Really like the look of those. IHC Cub cadets that my grandfather owned are what got me into this in the first place. I don't have those but I still enjoy the make when I see them. Nowadays we are practical minded and we do use our machines quite a lot. Every make has their ups and downs. Wheelhorse is, from what I've seen, the easiest to build rebuild maintain repair etc. We have no plan to possess any other brand as far as whole tractors go.

Pullstart 62,837 #16 Posted November 8, 2023 I recently took this picture. Mostly but there is my wife’s Panzer, an Allis Chalmers CA and there’s an AC WD45 as well. I mow with a 2018 Scag 52” zero turn, and there is a JD 1010 backhoe loader outside. I am not sure if I’ll ever do anything with that, it’s got a lot going on. 7

I will only leave non-PTO equipment & Non Hydraulic outside (i.e., cultivator, Disc, earth plow, etc.), but no tractor will ever sit outside. But Just about every machine in my collection, except for the Rear engine riders, Sabre lawn tractor, and Cub Original, does get used yearly. Those 4 machines our my dust collectors. I couldn't have as many dust collectors as you 2

It was our first WH but I've gotten more attached to others in the herd, and will need to downsize anyway. I'll make myself a note to give you a heads-up if I decide to let her go. She has 8" front wheels now - I didn't like the dinky 6" ones so I swapped them out a while back. Where the 312-H or 314-H have an Eaton 11, which is actually more suited for ground-engaging attachments. Plus, the 312-H & 314-H have hydraulic lift; all my garden tractors except for the JD 110RF (spring assist lift) either have hydraulic or electric lift; The electric actuators, if I can, will be transferred over to a Warner H-track https://www.thomsonlinear.com/en/product/H3B-12-1A13-A-04#code which you get the plug-and-play of an electric actuator with the speed of hydraulic lift. I am not too keen on manual lift if I can avoid it. I should hopefully be replacing the Onan in my 416-H with a Briggs Vanguard from the Small Engine Warehouse this winter. While Onan's were great at the time, they were used. Today, I would rather not have one, as they are getting harder to keep in tip-top shape. Even if I get a John Deere 420, I will replace the Onan in that with a Honda or Briggs engine kit.

Ah, guess I should have reviewed the model list before replying - I didn't realized there were both 312-A and 312-H models. Taking this thread a bit off-topic, but I guess the different features of these WH and other brands are somewhat relevant. Yes, the 312-A has the Eaton 700 and manual lift, which are the main reasons it isn't my favorite any more, although I rarely bother to lift the deck when using it, and trying to snow plow with it was a major pain. I have a 416-H and GT-1848 both with Eaton 1100's and those do most of the work around here. Also, since you mentioned replacing an Onan with a Honda or Briggs, my GT-1848 has a Honda GX610 and I love this engine. Haven't owned a Vanguard but I know a lot of people here like those.
