Colby G 233 #76 Posted December 20, 2023 I've done some more research and I think it's from a 1973 gt-14, but I'm not 100% sure...
gt14rider 795 #77 Posted December 20, 2023 The 90 2062 is the only transmission used on GT14. The 90 2070 may be from a older ( cub cadet, John deere). The 100244 pulley should fit the double d shaft . If someone else has any thoughts @daveoman1966 @stevasaurus
daveoman1966 3,758 #78 Posted December 20, 2023 (edited) It isn't clear to me that the soft aluminum ID tag reads "90-2070"... My bet:--- it is really a banged up tag that actually is 90-2046. It wouldn't take much to make a '4' look like a '7'.... and not much to make a '6' look like a '0'. Don't beat me up...just offering an opinion. In any case, the pulley to mate would need to be of the older 'Double D' configuration. Further note... the DRIVE GEAR of the 90-2062 unit has 11 teeth...proprietary to the GT-14 tractor. Me thinks the 90-2046 drive gear is 13 teeth... Edited December 20, 2023 by daveoman1966
Colby G 233 #79 Posted December 20, 2023 Found this on a google search of a guy on this site fixing up a 73' GT-14 with matching numbers. That's why I suspect it's a 73' GT-14.
gt14rider 795 #80 Posted December 20, 2023 @Colby G Can you take a better pic of that Id tag.
gt14rider 795 #82 Posted December 20, 2023 That does read 90 2070, don't know what that came out of but at this point the double d pulley should fit that double d shaft. I would try the 100244 pulley, if it doesn't work , sell it. Those pulleys are hard to find.

gt14rider 795 #84 Posted December 21, 2023 It wouldn't hert, heat is the enemy of a auto trans. The fan for the 100244 pulley is 100364

Colby G 233 #89 Posted January 26 Do I need transmission fluid along with hydro fluid for my charger 12?

The transmission and hydro are one system and use the same fluid. The transmission gear case is the storage sump for the hydro. If the fluid in it is red use automatic transmission fluid. If it was brown black yes 10w30 engine oil.

wallfish 17,078 #95 Posted January 26 50 minutes ago, Colby G said: How much does it hold? Some of the hydro guys may have some advise on which fluid, like old school ATF or the new synthetic stuff. Or it doesn't matter mixing them The manual should give an amount. Thing is you don't want to mix ATF and regular oil as ATF was already in there. Plus ATF is basically a hydraulic type of fluid anyway
