I thought they were needle bearings but definitely just a o ring for a seal. 6 minutes ago, SylvanLakeWH said: First pic is what blew OK now I remember Sylvia... are you saying the orginal one blew? I saw those breakers too. Though the book said 70 Amp?
SylvanLakeWH 25,524 #127 Posted December 5, 2023 (edited) The first pic above is the stock tin foil. That's what failed on the A-60. The second pic is the E9 70 amp circuit breaker I put in and it has worked perfectly. No trips. Edited December 5, 2023 by SylvanLakeWH 2

I had to wrestle him down to keep him from tearing a plow apart that Jeff had bought and had delivered to plow day this year. Back to the fuse thing. I think that the re-set-able breaker is a much better option than the fuse is. 2

You are correct, I should have said Needle bearings. But if i had said needle bearings you wouldn't be able to needle me about it! The new 70 amp breaker is on the way to @WHX??, Thanks for reminding us what worked for you @SylvanLakeWH Edited December 5, 2023 by 953 nut
WHX?? 48,813 #130 Posted December 8, 2023 (edited) Fuel gauges came in today Richard. Work perfect. Do you want the volts scale or the colored one. It's the faded clear plastic that makes it hard to see. An easy swap and by no means permanent. Also I noticed that the gauge will read 24/7. Would it be wise to add a shut off switch? Not that it has a huge power draw. Again your call Richard. Edited December 8, 2023 by WHX?? 1

Since it is staying on I guess we should leave it disconnected over the winter, I will rewire it to operate with the key later.

Wonder why WH didn’t do that? The wiring diagram does show it always hot but that's as far as I looked. I thought maybe just an on off switch on the column right next to the nitrous boost switch... BTW all Four corners holding air nicely. Shoulda took it out for a road test today. In the 50s and driveway clean. Got the twisted off bolt out @Achto and re-tapped. Not too sure how to add nitrous to an electric horse anyway.

A couple of Lipo batteries hidden under the wet cells should serve as a close equivalent. A flip of the switch changes 36v to 72v. 2 hours ago, WHX?? said: Got the twisted off bolt out @Achto and re-tapped. Thank Jim!! 1
WHX?? 48,813 #135 Posted December 19, 2023 BTW Richard put away for a long winters nap. She's got good company. Covered with a bed sheet. I wired the fuel gauge to the load side of the breaker and tripped the breaker so it's not on. I tooled around on it abit before parking so will periodically start the charger. Sure does make a handy rig for running to the mailbox! 1 1
SylvanLakeWH 25,524 #136 Posted December 19, 2023 She looks lonely there... maybe i take that senior you're using for a clothes line - free up some space ya know - and you tuck her in tight next to the hood top tire storage tractor...

No extra charge for the barn dust the clothes line does not keep off. Those are pricey Firestone 23s ... figured a would take them over a electric jobby..
