My 701 saga

Holy rodent hotel batman!

My spare 3 speed case had some visitors!

Cleaned up nice though. Needle bearings are smooth and tight. I'll pick the best of the 3 sets of 1533s and use them. New outer axle bearings and new seals all around are on the way.

Any opinions on using longer axles yet? :scratchead:

With the longer axles you could put wider tires and not need spacers

I have a set of 5x12 ag tires that would sure look better sticking out another inch on each side.

But the 701 is an icon in a way. You don't see many that have mods.

Every tractor I own is modified, and I wanted to make this one at least close to correct. But it might look pretty nice...

That 8-speed. Light duty? Most of those are larger axles.

If they're the same diameter, I would use them.

You're going to be the only one that ever  notices that extra 2" in track width.

If anything it would give you the benefit of a little extra spacing in case you ever got a bright idea about using chains or slightly wider tires.

Yes on the 8 speed. From my 310-8.

I'm beginning to think the same thing!
