leabassett@sbcglobal.net 149 #1 Posted October 31, 2023 My 1987 312-8 Has no size on the rear tires. I need to get a tube for one. Anyone know the exact size? I keep getting different things from different sites. Thanks
ebinmaine 67,444 #2 Posted November 1, 2023 Check the inside of the tire carefully. I've NEVER seen a tire that wasn't marked. That said.... A tube that fits a 23 x 8.5/9.5 x 12 should get you outta trouble.

Tiers look original too.
leabassett@sbcglobal.net 149 #4 Posted November 1, 2023 There is no chub rub on them either.

Racinbob 11,062 #6 Posted November 1, 2023 OE was 22 x 9.00-12 but they are easily changed. The tubes mentioned will work fine.
Pullstart 62,838 #7 Posted November 1, 2023 I believe it’s @pacer who has mentioned being involved with planes in the past. A SMALLER tube a bit stretched is always better than a LARGER tube that could fold inside the wheel and tire. 2

Fold or crease can create a friction spot which eventually might lead to a rupture.

Seen it many times with tube folded or pinched leading to a leak . I would always blow up the tire then let the air out then refill . Inner tub powder is your friend too and pay attention to the valve stem size as it may need a bushing so it fits tight in the hole in the rim . Good luck 1

leabassett@sbcglobal.net 149 #11 Posted November 1, 2023 Thanks for all the replies. A 23 x 8.5/9.5 x 12 Tube I will get. The tires look a little fatter than what is on my John Deere 140.
