I have a set of those same Carlisle Tru Power AG tires. 

To set the chains up in/on them is a challenge. But it can be done. 

I run a 2-link V bar ice chain. Most of the cross links set nicely between the AG bars treads.

V-61s are not hard to mount at all with this tool. I don't take them to a tire shop as it takes days and they bend me over. Best advice is get thet tire in the sun or warm and use lube.

Thanks for all the information I am definitely getting the mini tire changer. Did you get the V-61 in 4 or 6 ply and are you saying you can mount the six ply just need lots of spoons and lube. Thanks

Yes 6 plys need lots of lube but what really helps if they  are in a warm sun or in front of the wood stove for a bit. Rubber is much more pliable.

Yes 6 plys need lots of lube but what really helps if they  are in a warm sun or in front of the wood stove for a bit. Rubber is much more pliable. 

Thanks WHX I will getting the 6ply V-61 tires same size, inner tubes name brand like Firestone or Good Year, HF mini tire changer and also what looks like a tool to hold the inner tube fill valve in place. Apply some heat to warm up the tires with lots of lube to install. I will be keeping the stock rims as well no real advantage to spending extra on trailer hubs and rims. Will keep everyone updated on my progress. Appreciate everyone’s input Thanks 😊
