bkarp@roadrunner.com 6 #1 Posted October 27, 2023 my 310-8 all of a sudden does not engage the transmission in any gear. Drive belt is ok and adjusted,no difference in high or low range. With engine off and transmission in any gear you can still push the tractor with no resistance.any ideas, hopefully not a transmission rebuild.
gt14rider 795 #2 Posted October 27, 2023 Check keyway at wheel hub to axle, transmission drive pulley to input shaft. Take a marker, put a line across hub across axle, try to move it and see if the line moved 2

wallfish 17,078 #4 Posted October 27, 2023 Forcing the high low shifter into gears or bumping it hard by accident like getting on and off can break the shift fork inside the trans that slides the gears back and forth and leave it stuck in a neutral position. Best if you can give ALL of the circumstances and symptoms that occurred before this happened, any funny noises? Acting up over time? The more info you can provide the better an internet diagnosis is. Otherwise it's pretty much guessing.
