Wheelhorse#1 1,666 #26 Posted October 28, 2023 WHX correct about ACR.I didn’t know this until I looked through the manual. I was a only getting 30# reading with the bad head gasket. Today I ran it,went through all the gears with no problems. cleaned the tank, replaced the gas lines and changed the oil. Now I’m draining the last bit of devil snot out of the tranny. I raised the front to get the last bit of gunk out.

Probably the same oil that it left the dealership with... When it looks like chocolate milk, that's when I'd be concerned. That just looks like mostly old gear oil.

There’s nothing like the smell of ancient gear oil.

To some it's better than any flower. To others.... well not so much. We went to the Wright Museum of WWII recently. The large space where the vehicles are on display... Smelled amazing! That old oil.
