nothing state-side available.

I've had mine for many years. Honestly don't remember where they came from.

Another 'ags and tri ribs' guy here, that's whats on Hoss in my profile pic. Rears are Deestones and just like everyone else has said, they run small. Very stiff sidewall too. They are loaded and hook up pretty good, and the less air I run the better, currently sitting at about 2psi.

Something else to think about if you're in a situation where you need serious bite is ATV tires. I run 26x9-12 MassFx 'dirt devil' knockoffs and 19x7-8 SunF power 2s on the B1, which is similar to a Bighorn. Sidewall flex is EVERYTHING for getting a big contact patch and 'wrapping' around stumps, rocks or tree branches n logs. Obviously not going to see terrain like that in your yard or driveway, but the big contact patch will still make a big difference.

These will do 10 times more work than the Deestone ags, and theyre not even close to an aggressive model.....but they dont look as cool as ags and tri ribs:lol:

I took these in the other day on trade.  Duro Frontier, 26x9-12 and 26x11-12.  You can see the obvious height difference on these 7” wide wheels.

At 12 psi, actual measurements are 25-1/2”x9, and 24-7/8”x8-1/2”.

The 11” tires just fit under a 656 fender pan.  Actually, they just rub the fender and will need some slight adjustment to run without tearing something up.  The 9” wide tires will be placed on another set of wheels for now, for a just in case.

The 26x9 tires may still be a little too tall for a round fender.

I was thinking about using these for front tires on my C-175 restoration as I already have four nice 23x10.50-12 ags for the rear. Originally I was going to buy all new Carlisle turf-savers but I think I’m going to change course. Has anyone tried these 5-ribs? I just think they look cool, and would go great with ags!

Vredstein is a great tire, just insanely expensive.  I put some on my 312-8

Has anyone stretched 4.80x4.00-8 tri-ribs onto 8" 300/400 fronts?

I've been close ish.

I had some on a pair of 5 lug trailer wheels.

Used tubes to get em to work.

I don't recommend it.

They looked REALLY weird 😳   and I'm not sure the tire's structure was OK.

@Sparky I think has a B80 with them on the wide fronts.

I used 6-inch 312-8 wheels on my son's recent build with narrow ribs. Like Eb said, tubes are very helpful with seating the beads. I highly doubt I could've got them inflated without tubes. They look a little funny, but are fine for what this machine will be used for.

I beleive there are two different widths of 6" rims used on 300 series.  The ones off the 1985 look narrower, haven't measured them. It had narrow rims on the back also.

I put the rims off the Raider on the 312-8.

I haves some tires I got with my lawn ranger, I have  no idea what they go to they are small tires, she size of lawn ranger rear tires but they are like gear drive, it is a split rim and it has teeth all around for a gear for it to go on, it could go on a Springfield maybe, would they be rare, I was going to scrap them but I bet I better check, I can try to get a pic tomorrow if anyone wants one

I have two sets on tractors, and a third set to mount and put on another.
No complaints from me or from any friends with them.

Hello! First time Wheelhorse buyer. I'm picking up a 252-H and it will definitely need tires. What size can I put on it? The manual says 22x7.50-12 for the back and 15x6.00-6 for the front. I understand that's maybe not a valid size anymore? So what sizes will those wheels generally accept? What modifications would I need to do to allow for bigger sizes? And I've read about having to be careful not to take them off and pull out the axle. How would one achieve this?

Thanks for the info!

Pretty sure that front tire size is still available.
Not familiar with your machine but I bet a 23x8.5 would work in the rear if you can’t find the original size.

Ok I'll look into that size. Do you know how to get them off without accidently pulling out the axle? Thanks a ton for the reply Sparky!

Got a couple used 22x7.50-12. What do you all think? Will this hold a bead? If not any tips maybe hot glue to fix it?

Not likely to hold air, good candidate for a tube

I'd second that.

These tires only need 8 lbs to run but sometimes seating the bead takes a lot more.

Man...i was mounting some kart tires years ago, they go on a 6" spun aluminum 1pc wheel, you put a pvc ring around the tread to keep it from stretching.  The sound that both the tire and myself made when it finally seated around 100psi were very similar
