ML3 1,198 #1 Posted October 19, 2023 Picked these up today! Again thanks to Buckeyes for selling them to me. So that's 3 tractors I bought from him in the last month, including the RJ. How did I go from January of this year to buying my 1st Wheel Horse C105 to having 7 of them now??? 4 12
c-series don 8,690 #2 Posted October 19, 2023 Beautiful tractors. How did you get seven tractors in one year? Because it’s addicting that’s how!! But it’s a great hobby that also helps preserve some Americana. 4

Moparfanforever 844 #4 Posted October 19, 2023 WOW, very nice tractors!!! If you do not already have one, you might as well start planning on a new building to put them in. 1

That's plan for next summer. I've got no more room for anything else! I actually had to cover up the C105 & put it outside until this Sunday when I can reorganize garage to make everything fit. Still need room to work out there 3

It's so unfortunate we don't build stuff like this anymore. 3 1

Pullstart 62,838 #8 Posted October 20, 2023 Awesome! I had my eyes on that 953 for a while, I’m glad someone saved it from me! Truth be told, I was tempted by the 753 too!

I really like the 953. Has the rear inside wheel weights, with them it's a pretty heavy tractor. The 753 has a 8sp conversion that Buckeyes installed. Have front & rear wheel weights for it & a dual rear tire adapter w/wheels & tires! Best of all Buckeyes lives only 10min away. 1

Its a bit rough but solid. I heard the RJs actually don't plow snow really all that good cause they are too light in the front?? I did get a mower with my RJ. I'll probably go thru it over winter. Doesn't look too bad...... Edited October 20, 2023 by ML3

I did really douse the snowblower with WD40 to try & prevent more rust. I may consider selling it. I really could use a 2 stage snowblower & a hydro. After injuring my back this past summer it's not easy to manually lift that heavy blower.

I'm at work now drawing up ideas for a shelf with some sort of removable ramp in corner of garage. Also thinking up some sort of winch to slowly pull tractors up as opposed to driving them up.

I don't remember if there's 2 places at the end of it. Even if there was the mower & plow would adjust together? Plow down, mower down? I didn't look at mine that close. I also have the right foot pedal repair to angle the blade. There's a handle on right side that pushes/pulls blade to adjust angle

Plow bracket fits over end for frame & tucks under hood. Then theres brackets that just clamp around frame just behind front axle..... I strongly concur with not riding up or down ramps--just not worth the risk. I’ve seen tractors slide sideways off slippery ramps. That said, I am a proponent of having a running tractor power itself up or down if there is safe and adequate traction. The winch is a great backup idea for non-runners or steep/slippery ramps--slow but sure! (Other posters have noted that an 8-speed Wheel Horse in 1L gear will climb a tree if it has traction!)
