Will theses wheels fit?

Anyone know if rear wheels off a 1972 Cub Cadet will fit my 1987 312-8? They are 23X8.5X12. My horse has one rear that goes flat every few days and the cub holds air for ever.

The back spacing on Wheelhorses is different from most others. More shallow.  

 

Other brand wheels can be used but some require the installation of spacers which usually removes a good value for using the non Horse wheels. 

 

 

I'd second the usage of a tube to solve the leak.

Bolt pattern would be the same, all depends on the backspacing of the rim.                      @ebinmaine beat me.

Make sure to thoroughly wipe the inside of the tire with a rag before tubing it to make sure any debris that could puncture the tube has been removed. Also check for rough spots on the rim. Same reason.

I know I could get a tube and have done it in the past, Just feeling cheap and what to use what I all ready have.

There isn't much room between the tires and the gas tank on a 312-8 with stock wheels.

The offset will be wrong and the Cub tires will rub or be right up against the fender/fuel tank supports. And for sure you will never be able to to run chains. 
  I wouldn’t bother buying those Cub wheels. Find a small-engine shop and have a tube installed (or install it yourself)

 also, the hole in the center of the Cub wheels are a lot smaller the the holes in the WH hub. So you would need to get wheel spacers. And then the wheels would be brought out wider. (We learned it the hard way with my pulling tractor)

I have CC wheels on my C160, which is my plow tractor in winter.  I have no problem with the chains on the tires, and I don't use spacers. Center hole is the right size to fit the hub. The main difference in my case was the valve stem is on the outside.  Which is why I have wheel weights for a D series on the wheels.

The C-series has a lot of room behind the wheels, it's the gas tank on the 312 that's in the way.

I have the cub now. If I do not sell it I will be using as many parts as I can off of it.
