We replaced the stock Wheelhorse worn out tie rods with a couple slightly better ones we had here. The pic is at an angle that magnifies the tow out but... It is still way off. They'll need to get a set or have us make some up that can straighten things out. She do fly right along. I have ONLY one other. My 1975 C160 Automatic. That's a Sundstrand of course. I believe this Workhorse with the Eaton 1100 may be ((??)) a bit faster forward. I wish I could remember where I got these. They appear to be stainless or very good steel like a chromoly alloy. Black iron pipe would likely work fine if you could get a size small enough to tap. The 3/8" holes in the tractor are normally wallowed out a little oblong and the next step up to 7/16" requires just enough drilling to round out the holes. Another advantage is the 7/16" parts are a LOT stronger than the 3/8". I buy the Heim joints and jam nuts from McMaster Carr. You may be able to find center pieces as small swage tubes. And it's got the exemption tag from WW2. Trina will if the new owners wanna spend the money. We're trying to be frugal at the beginning of their ownership because they've never had a REAL Garden Tractor. If they like it they'll keep fixing it up as we have it in for maintenance. These are NOS, I didn’t use them on my Work Horse restoration because Terri assured me that his would not match the exact color as the factory ones. I needed the fender to be exact match as the hood decals for my restoration so I bought an entire set.
