BillD 0 #1 Posted October 16, 2023 Hi, I had a loose screw in my distributor and it cause it to seize and thus snap off the half moon slot that the distributor shaft sits in. Now I'm stuck and it requires a special puller /bushing removal tool which looks like a M20/2.0 pitch threads. Any advice and help would be greatly appreciated. From the pictures below you can see the left half moon broken. I removed the broken piece. Any help and advice appreciated. Thanks in advance. Bill
gwest_ca-(File Mod) 11,146 #2 Posted October 16, 2023 Found a 20mm x 2.0 bolt. Could you make a puller with that? https://www.mcmaster.com/products/bolts/system-of-measurement~metric/hex-head-screws~/medium-strength-metric-class-8-8-steel-hex-head-screws/?s=metric+bolts

BillD 0 #4 Posted October 16, 2023 Thanks, I think I get it. Get a small pipe diameter greater than the bushing, put a washers on top and thread the bolt in which should lift it out. I'll give that a try. Thank You
BillD 0 #5 Posted October 19, 2023 Hi, it's actually a 22-2.0 thread and seems very difficult to find. Any thoughts on where to find one? I see in the repair manual chapter 4, drive gear replacement, it says to use special tool 90.45.261 seems like a needle in the haystack. Thanks again

BillD 0 #7 Posted October 20, 2023 Thank you. I'll keep looking for the 22-2.0 and if that fails will try the 7/8X14. Thank you
