Racinbob 11,082 #5 Posted October 15, 2023 Are you talking about a low back like this one which is the original off a 76 B-80: Or you can get these (slightly) padded covers for either a square or round pan.

ebinmaine 67,526 #16 Posted October 16, 2023 @CCW I've checked out a couple of those inexpensive seats on the jungle site and the auction site. Pricing is pretty good compared to a lot of what we have available nowadays but I wonder how they would hold up in the very cold weather...??

I ruined the original seat on the C-165 that way. And it's real tough trying to find an original OEM seat these days. Like this mid-back one pictured that I have tucked away for some lucky RS brother someday 2

JCM 9,168 #19 Posted October 16, 2023 The same seat came on my 312 when new but was a high back type with the same design on the cover . those were used in 1988-9. I believe the mid back was on the 310. Not sure if the 308 came with the mid back, I'm thinking the 308 had the lower back. @Sparky would probably know as he has had a bunch of those models @clueless
Jon Paulsen 290 #20 Posted October 16, 2023 (edited) Two holes towards the front were an exact fit for my 416-8. Other holes close enough it was very easy to make an "adaptor" out of some bits of steel I had laying around. https://www.tractorsupply.com/tsc/product/black-talon-high-back-steel-pan-seat Quality seems good and it is designed to drain to two holes in the rear of the seat near center. I would buy this again if I needed another. The only problem I had was getting in there while they actually had one in stock. Don't trust their website for stocking Edited October 16, 2023 by Jon Paulsen
D_Mac 8,619 #21 Posted October 16, 2023 (edited) I find the steel seats pretty comfortable. Contours to your cheeks. The last one on the 857 had some padding on it. Edited October 16, 2023 by D_Mac

Never seen one with that seat, it does look nice though.
