Sparky-(Admin) 21,315 #2 Posted October 13, 2023 Do you have wheel weights and maybe chains? These things plow great but still need a little something to aid with traction.
oliver2-44 9,743 #3 Posted October 13, 2023 Great Tractor! It's amazing how much weights, fluid filled tires and chain can do.

ebinmaine 67,456 #5 Posted October 13, 2023 Traction for these tractors is a LOT to do with weight. As stated above the wheel weights, fluid filled tires and chains will be the key. My plow tractors are on the high side of some and I run as heavy as possible.
953 nut 55,203 #6 Posted October 13, 2023 Tire chains and weight will be your friend when plowing snow. The attached thread will give you some good pointers. Loaded tires will also add some stability to youe 312-8 if you are using it on uneven areas.

midpack 862 #11 Posted October 13, 2023 I have a 312-8 setup as a plow machine too. Great machine, sips gas! I have front and rear weights, chains on the rears and #40 chain wrapped around the fronts for steering. I hope it stays parked! Lol 1
jay bee 896 #12 Posted October 13, 2023 to I also have a 312-8 with a plow and a B-100 with a blower. Chains and weights make a difference. I think you going to like that

Besides, I heard winters are some easier up there now There hadn't been a real snow filled winter in several years now. Here on this southwest facing mountainside we pretty much always get a good strong 2 to 3 foot base by the end of January that stays a couple months or more.
