.Finished the muffler today sounds great still has that sweet Onan sound to it, tomorrow I'll work on adding extra weight to the back and continue finishing up some little things.  Anyone know where I can buy atv tires this size for the rears, cheaper than the $249 each that I found lol, thanks.

I've had reasonable luck with

Simpletire.com.

They have a phone where you can call and talk to a human people person.

On the tire size keep in mind that they're close... but not exactly standardized.

Try to get the tire company to give you the ACTUAL SIZE.

That may give you a tad bit o flexibility in the search.

Are you planning ramming speed in reverse with the rear bumper !!!

Is the fuel tank mount permanent??

I like 👍 the looks of all of it !!

LMAO No. lol no ramming just wanted something rugged and yes the gas tank mount is welded, but the bracket itself is bolted to the back of the tractor. Same goes for the extended foot rest on the right side, it's bolted up underneath the original foot rest using the holes that were already there. This was a project that on paper was going to be easy, but as I went along I found I had to modify certain things in order for the snowblower to work properly and for the pulleys to line up, along with raising the motor up and spreading the front tires, so the front axle could still have proper range of motion for uneven ground. The whole project was and still is pretty fun to build because there's no limits and most of the extra pieces I needed to do this I had sitting in buckets of spare parts or up on a shelf, so it helped keep the cost down.

The entire point of everything I've built in the past and future!

Glad your having fun with it because that's the important part. Even when it don't work. But when it works and functional, that's the icing on the cake

Just noticed that last update pic

You're gonna want to go bigger on that blower drive pulley on the engine. or move it to that bigger one. You got the power with a 20hp so at minimum match the PTO pulley size of the tractors it was desinged to be used with. Too small is going to slow that baby down so any snow with moisture won't go through fast enough.

I use a 2 stage on a 520 (20 HP) and want go smaller on the driven pulley at the gearbox to add speed.

I agree with @wallfish

Best part of the build process is the whole build process.

Some folks like to use em when they're done and I do too.. but I also VERY much enjoy the creative part.

And ...

"Use what ya have"

A favorite saying around the acreage here.

I was wondering about my pulley size as well, but like with all my projects my A.D.D. kicks in lol and I find myself here, there and everywhere then I go back and start double checking things. I will be going bigger because that is the whole purpose when building these projects is to go big or go home lol. I may just space the pulley out to line up with the next one in line or flip it, stay tuned for updated photos on that and other add ons, thanks and I really appreciate the input, anything to help make it perfom or work better I'm all ears, thanks .

Today I spun the pulley around this size is a little smaller than the one Wheel Horse uses, but it's all I have for now and it's bigger than the other one I originally had. Luckly I had a good belt as well hanging on the wall, so no money spent today lol wifey will be happy. After that, I built this little guard to protect the gas tank from the driver ( That'd be me ! ) who never looks back and likes to have inanimate objects stop him instead of brakes lol. I also shortened it up a little bit on the sides to expose the rear tires more in hopes of not getting hung up in snow banks or anything and added a ring to throw a hook through in case I get in a situation I can't get out of. The only reason I painted this and nothing else is I don't want to get hit from behind while clearing my driveway, so I figured a Metallic Silver should reflect the light better than rust colored metal, lol.

Found a great tool to cut tire tread and it works slick. I'm trying this way first to save some money then if this fails I'll try the rubber chains, just don't want to use real chains because our driveway is asphalt and also I help my neighbors and their driveways are asphalt as well.

Interesting concept.

Are your tires fluid filled?

No fluid, but they have tubes and they're pretty beat up but hey I gotta try right, because that's exactly what my wife's going to ask me when I tell I need to buy new ones. See I'm thinking ahead lol.

Well done.

The fluid filling would help a LOT with more weight for traction.

Thanks, I'll look into it, I'll definitely need some weight back there.

We use a beet sugar based product called Rimguard.

There's a commercial tire dealer in Sanford Maine that sells it.

Might be available closer to you too.

Costs about the same as winter rated WWF or RV antifreeze but it's several lbs per gallon heavier.  Approximately 10.5 to 11 lbs per gallon.

We have 3 tractors here with it and will be adding more.

I also have Rimguard in tires.  Definitely worth it.  So much heavier per gallon and really adds up when added to a couple 10.50 wide tires

Added a hood scoop today to cover up the air filter to keep the weather out, still may add a screen to the front to help out as well. I'll clean up the excess seam sealer once it's dry.
