Last Stab for Aftermarket Generac Starter

Been everywhere.  Can't find Generac Starter OH58-410154 in after market flavor.

Any clues?  Caltric did not appear to make that one.

What engine does you generator use?

If it is a Generac air cooled engine, then Generac OEM may be the only choice. If it is a liquid cooled engine then there may be a good chance that it was initially made buy another manufacturer as a long block & then reworked /rebranded as Generac.

Is there anyone in your area that rebuilds electric motors?

@hotajax

I'm trying to get a price on that starter through work. Will see if I can do better on the price going factory direct. :handgestures-fingerscrossed:

Try checking with DBElectric.  As mentioned above, the starters especially the aftermarket ones are going to be listed/sold by the engine it goes on not the Generator package.

There is nobody in my area that does starters and alternator.  Is a guy who does elec motors, but he's a total rip-off.  Would be better to buy OEM Generac than him.

Generac actually builds their own small air cooled engines. This may be the issue with finding aftermarket. Still waiting on a factory direct price.
