ebinmaine 67,419 #26 Posted September 29, 2023 Given 30 or 40 Large and a choice I'd likely buy either a Kubota or a Ventrac. Still not a JD.

Have you ever used a Kubota compact with a hydro with the treadle pedal ? Main reason I went with JD. Your right leg gets way too much heel to toe movement. Twin touch Hydro pedal is far superior for many hours in the seat. Kubota is a good tractor for certain tasks.

I'd be VERY curious to see the operation of your machine next time I'm down there! Our Moffitt forklifts at work are the treadle pedal style. Absolutely can see how that'd be tiring for full day's use.

Bigger jobs require bigger tractors and both manufacturers have an amazing assortment of attachments to "git 'er done". The right tool for the job is my motto, no matter what color.... And Mahindra is giving both of them a run for the money. 1

My 3010 Kubota that i bought new in 2000 has the treadle pedal and it takes some getting used to. I ran a cat loader for years at the paper mill I worked for that had the same set up so I became good with it. You can get Kubota with the two separate pedals. I do hay making with friends and when they use my tractor,on occasion, when I can't do the tedding ( My tractor always used to tedd ) they say love that Kubota but that pedal not so much. All I've done is service on the 3010 and worked it, the battery lasted 18 years.

I've liked the look of those mid 60s Round Fender as long as I can recall. Tall thin hood. They aren't a bad looking rig at all. That was long before I had the finances, shop, or know how, to repair or maintain my own machinery. And then there's the old two cylinder Johnny Poppers. There's just nothing quite like that sound. Nothing pulls like an old two cylinder JD They will pull down to where you think it the last an pop another cylinder and keep going.
