peter lena 8,608 #1 Posted September 28, 2023 just a photo of my rear tail gate , door venting area , showing proof of lubrication creep , thats what you want , in any closed , body area , have wiped it clean , and it comes back . related seam areas , also have film , and of course , zero rust . body seams also have this , in addition to heavy open gear spray on bottom of car , dries black , and dry . have this in all my rolling stock . peter lena 8,608 #2 Posted October 1, 2023 @elcamino/wheelhorse, @Beap52 , @Skwerl58 , been doing this forever , if you establish , lubrication into metal seaming , closed areas , FIRST it will be the foundation for metal salvation . hoods , doors , rocker sills , fender lip areas , any metal / metal attachment areas , verify with visual , oil creep , then I over coat that lubrication base , with a heavier , OPEN GEAR , cable chain spray down , that will dry in place , seal off and protect the penetrating base spray , MAKE SENSE ? fluid film , does not have the durability , for exposure areas . as with everything else pricing is nuts , a mineral oil base is also ok , as long as its protected with an exposure / stress lubricant , that will cure / seal in place . tracking is easy for application , just look at about anything on the road today , the puffy paint , and rusty tracking is everywhere , there is nothing like that on my cars , also hose them down / wash / under spray . easy to experiment , try a lubrication tracking / spread . also go on line for related lubricants / pricing / availability . my son is doing a Mercedes he picked up this weekend , you can bet that car will not rust / rot out . door sills , spot welded , connections , don't even think about it , just regularly do it . hope you do / try it , zero rot , pete 1 Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
