Docwheelhorse 2,660 #1 Posted September 26, 2023 (edited) Hello all, A little birdy was nagging me to go get a coffee at our local Xtra-Mart / Dunkin. Well I went, behind the Xtra-Mart is a junkyard / auto recycling place. I know the owner. When I pulled in I saw "it" and said... thats mine... period no discussion. I called up Joey (yes thats his real name) and said "listen... its mine... gimme a price and don't kill me on it" He goes "man... everybody wants that thing" I said I bet... but gimme the price. He says "$$$$" as is and get it out of my face. I say "SOLD"... I'll be down with the cash. I paid an extra $100 and they flat bedded it too my house. I gave it a pressure wash and vac jobbed and threw in a used battery. Got it running (well they had did me a favor and cleaned out bad gas and threw in some fresh) Brakes junk... power steering pump junk... other misc stuff to fix. But it has been sitting for 12 years!!!! It's a 1995 4x4 5 speed 305, 3.42 gears... I am tickled pink Tony 20230926_171653.mp4 Edited September 27, 2023 by Docwheelhorse Added pics 9

ebinmaine 67,502 #3 Posted September 27, 2023 NIIIIICE. That'll shine up REALLY nice. Subtle changes will go a long way. Take a minute to swap out that carpet for a rubber floor and you'll have a huge improvement in looks and practicality. Good catch sir.

peter lena 8,627 #5 Posted September 27, 2023 @Docwheelhorse NICE , get some open gear lube into that body . every body seam , and closed area , tail gate . cab seams , watch for the spread of protection , oil film at lowest areas , inner fender lips , spray into the top of bed / fender area, so oil can run down on the inside . done a number of those , still rust free. good luck with it , pete

c-series don 8,707 #7 Posted September 27, 2023 Must not have seen much winter duty in Connecticut, because it looks to be pretty rust free?
Bill D 1,921 #8 Posted September 27, 2023 Beautiful. Can't wait to see pictures of it cleaned up, and maybe a few aftermarket performance parts installed. How's it's look under the bed liner? How many miles?

It's not rust free... but it's also not vaporised... Frame is scaly but complete. I think it got parked before we started using this liquid stuff---it's evil!!!

I'm hoping under bed liner is ok... we will see. 140000 on the clock, gotta get the brakes working first then I'm thinking all new ignition stuff etc. Tony

OutdoorEnvy 1,522 #12 Posted September 27, 2023 Awesome find and good on you for making it happen! I grew up on this era truck. Favorite truck to date I owned was a 92 Chevy half ton 350 5 speed 4wd. Just a great truck and fun to drive. Looking forward to seeing your progress on this one.

I just got the pedals, driveshaft, transmission, crossmember, steering column etc. We need a flywheel and clutch. He scrapped the engine two days ago with that stuff on it, but new won’t be too much coin… Edited September 27, 2023 by Pullstart Photo 1

Remember, this is for my teenage daughter with a keen wit for having fun! Depending on how torn up the harness is, I might keep it simple and get an 80’s v6 HEI and carb it. We have both intakes.
