pfrederi 17,719 #1 Posted September 22, 2023 She is only a couple year younger than I... but this is probably the last major project I am going to do. The parts are getting heavier and getting up from under her and contorting in the cab is getting harder. Sticking to WH overhauls in the future... Easier and considerably cheaper. Complete overhaul, took several months at the machine shop but he does great work. Always some interesting classic /collectable cars in there when I visit. Engine has landed but now a lot of hooking stuff up and reconstructing the front clip. All done by myself...tired now today time for cocktails... 5
stevasaurus 22,717 #2 Posted September 22, 2023 Two things are for sure here Paul. A heart transplant is always an option. A Cocktail is always a requirement. 1

JoeM 7,873 #8 Posted September 23, 2023 Awesome! Nice to see those old machines being kept alive. In today's world it seems to be more about quick and easy. I tease a bit some I know "ain't no change engine button on a remote, or change engine app on the phone" Oh, I like the modern conveniences and technology, but embrace the foundation that they were built on.

Right there with you Paul. Once I could throw a bundle of shingles on my shoulder and climb up a ladder, then it became a half bundle, they must be making them heavier! Now I don't even climb the ladder unless it is an emergency! 1 1
