steelworker2004 1 #1 Posted September 21, 2023 I'm putting original type seat springs back on my wheel horse (missing when I bought it). Was wondering if the short end of the spring bolts to the seat or vice versa. Thanks

GAJoe 844 #8 Posted September 23, 2023 (edited) Those seat springs have a bad design that loads most of the weight to one area of the seat pan. The seat pan wasn't designed with enough strength and the load causes stress cracks. I got the cracks welded up then added super-strut to keep that seat pan from being flexed in the future.
