Rickthehammer 0 #1 Posted September 21, 2023 I ran across a 312-8 I'm considering buying. The transmission fluid is tan in color. Would that be caused by water?
Sparky-(Admin) 21,318 #2 Posted September 21, 2023 Yes, water and oil get a tan/milky look. Doesn’t mean it’s not a good purchase though. If you end up with it you might have to do a couple transmission fluid swaps to get it all out. Regular 10w-30 is all that transmission needs as well as a new rubber shifter boot. 2
