Marv 919 #1 Posted September 21, 2023 I just acquired a 260 meter. There is a battery contact missing. Supposed to be 4. 2 for the D cell and 2 for the AA cell. I have not been able to find any contacts like the ones shown. Any ideas?
lynnmor 7,302 #2 Posted September 21, 2023 Maybe this website will help. If you can find the attachment points wires could be soldered to the batteries.

Rick3478 428 #4 Posted September 21, 2023 There are many variations of the 260. Most of them take a "D" cell and a 9V. Figure out what you actually have and get a reprint or PDF manual.
Marv 919 #5 Posted September 21, 2023 Lynnmore, Thanks for the website. That 260 series 5 is the one I have. I hope I do not have to solder to the battery, makes it messy to replace. Squonk, Thanks for the suggestion. I am about 1/3 of the way through the Simpson listings on that site and so far haven't found the contact.

I don't know anything about these people, or the quality, but apparently exists: https://www.metersales.com/shop/42507-26127#attr=46985,167629,158047
