hotajax 223 #1 Posted September 19, 2023 (edited) So I have a 4 burner stove. Three of the burners burn a nice solid blue flame, The other, of course the largest one, has yellow tips on the flames, 360 degrees around the burner. The yellow tips are about half the height of the flame. What's the issue? This is worth a sixer of fine German brew for the correct answer. As always, thanks in advance. Sailman 1,291 #2 Posted September 19, 2023 (edited) My guess would be that burner has some debris built up in the holes that provide the gas for the flame. Clean it as best you can and see if that fixes it. Edited September 19, 2023 by Sailman
WHX?? 48,814 #3 Posted September 19, 2023 also check the orifices for spider nests... all too common. Pic of what we are working on would be a huge help to your favor.

That's probably the main burner that;s used all the time too. https://www.amazon.com/iDuster-Compressed-Canned-Air-Duster/dp/B0BM4GV6LV/ref=sr_1_15?keywords=canned%2Bair&qid=1695091595&sr=8-15&th=1 I prefer this product since I don't really drink beer! rmaynard 15,434 #5 Posted September 19, 2023 Yellow flames usually indicate a lack of air (oxygen). I would look for the air adjustment for that burner.

hotajax 223 #7 Posted September 25, 2023 (edited) What I did: Small bronze wire brush. Then scraped the edges with a putty knife. Wire brushed it again. Almost perfect. So I'll go to a welding supply and get one of those small diameter wire brushes for cleaning the orifices of welding nozzles. That should get it all. Thanks.
