CHARGER9AUTO 3 #1 Posted February 10, 2008 I did not need to have the Crank redone my Dad took some emery paper and shined it up so it's smooth . Ben
Rollerman 290 #2 Posted February 10, 2008 Thats good to hear Ben. Sometimes the crank journal tends to get oval or egg shaped after a lot of hours. Always a good idea to check it & see if it's still in spec.

Steve, I have to order the parts for my 953's 10 HP motor online sometimes you need to have the Crank redone or polish by hand it's not like I work the tractor hard. I either pull a two wheel dump cart around the yard . Ben
catman81056 3 #4 Posted February 11, 2008 I think what Stephen is saying is since you're taking the time to do it right it wouldn't hurt to have the crank "miked" at a machine shop. Sure would be a shane to ruin all the new parts because the crank was out of round and spit the bearing out. Just my .
