peter lena 8,627 #1 Posted September 16, 2023 was just at the local , fuel up area , parked along side a Nissan , quad cab , pickup , every lower body seam had the yellow / orange discoloration band starting , even the lower door drainage areas . fender wells were just starting , puff up paint . what could have possibly stopped , prevented that from happening ? even tail gate was , breaking paint , Kroil penetrating oil , or similar , deep creep oil , aerosol spray tube , would have been , soaking / preventing that , all of my drivers , have an oil film in / on metal seam connections , zero rust / rot or paint bubbles . even mineral oil will save your stuff , pretty cheap too , in gallon form . just a reference to something easily prevented , oily, Pete 3 Share this post Link to post Share on other sites

peter lena 8,627 #3 Posted September 16, 2023 @Sparky no never saw him / her , might have if given the chance , was once telling a guy , and his response was G A S , didn't really care , so just left him . saw a number of guys in the NG , COSMOLINE their stuff , used diesel fuel as the carrier , talk about a flush down ! worked as transport for motor pool to Bradley field , HFD , transport rebuilt trucks . on the other hand my son has rust free cars / truck in Vermont , don't know where he got the ideas from . my grandson is coming home from calif with a pristine 93 mercury , with 52 k original miles on it , bet that will get the soak down , its only me , Pete 1 Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
