TonyToro 1,078 #1 Posted September 16, 2023 Hey everyone I’ve heard about this event for years. My local Napa guy told me a few weeks ago that my son and I should look into going. Turns out one of the members in my pulling club helps put it on. He told me how it started and all about it. So…. Me and @TonyToro Jr. are gearing up to check this out with a couple of our Wheel Horses. Has anyone here been? Who’s thinking of going? this is last years web page…they said they haven’t updated it yet….lol https://tractorpalooza.com
Sparky-(Admin) 21,403 #2 Posted September 16, 2023 Weird link…doesn't actually give a street address. No kids under 16? If you go I would love to hear all about it and see pics. I won’t be there (wherever it is )

TonyToro 1,078 #6 Posted September 16, 2023 The kids can go on the trail ride and tractor parade through the street of east Haddam. I think the 16 rule is mainly if insurance reasons?? There is stone boat pulling. I don’t exactly know why they specified 16.
953 nut 55,746 #7 Posted September 16, 2023 The post made last year sounds like a "Men Only" gettogether where tractors are somewhat of an afterthought rather than a featured motivation for attending. 1:00 PM Pok(h)er Run $10 buy-in 5-stop poker run around Haddam Neck Cash payout for best 3 poker hands (prize is dependent on the number of entries) 3:30 PM Party/Tractor Pulls $10 to pull your tractor Winner of each class receives cash prize Bring some cash, we’ll be betting
wallfish 17,078 #8 Posted September 16, 2023 (edited) Haddam Neck Fairgrounds East Hampton CT I'd imagine It also states "The event is intended to be for the guys," I don't see the big deal. Kids are allowed at all of the other family events of which there are plenty of so why not one where you don't have to baby sit, watch what you say, a little gambling of a few bucks and maybe a beer or 2. Kids shouldn't be around that stuff anyway. Edited September 16, 2023 by wallfish
