I’ve got a tall chute blower or plow to use with it for the winter. im thinking the c160 will get the blower and the c175 will get the plow, both have weights and chains. id like to find a 2 stage blower though
ebinmaine 67,528 #6 Posted September 13, 2023 (edited) @AHS up here in Maine has a single stage tall chute snow blower he likes it quite a lot. I have only ever operated walk behind two stage machines. I understand with the single stage ones you just need to keep them a little more full of snow. Yeah the single stage work good for powder, heavy snow gets tricky. I’d like to try a 2 stage and see how that goes.
peter lena 8,631 #8 Posted September 13, 2023 @Charbs152 very nice , lucky you ! suggestion , if that seat has too much rear tilt for you , reduce the front edge of seat lift , loosen all related bolts , so you can make it fit you , then washer up and test for fit , done a lot of seat fitting , often its just a simple setting change . pete

It does adjust forwards and back but it’s stuck and I haven’t dealt with it. Needs some pb blaster. I never thought about the tilt though. I will have to look into that!
peter lena 8,631 #10 Posted September 13, 2023 @Charbs152 replacing that with a new seat , aftermarket , is the time to set up enact seat mounting , for height , leg room from steering wheel , as well as , stomach room . there are a lot of seats on the net , look for one with a seat bolt hole diagram , so its easier for you to mount , probably in the 100$ range . good searching , Pete

I've had pretty good luck overall with two different readily available spray cans. WD-40 PENETRATING OIL. Note that it is NOT the regular formula. The other one is good old-fashioned Liquid Wrench Penetrating Oil. The biggest thing to remember is that it took several years or decades to become frozen and rusted shut and it won't be an instant process to free something up. That's a lesson I've had to learn the hard way more times than I would care to admit.

The seat works for me so it’s no big deal to spray it a few times and forget about it and hopefully one day it frees up. 👍

OutdoorEnvy 1,522 #17 Posted September 13, 2023 That would be an awesome rig anyway you came to have it. But being your grandpa’s is really special and takes it to another level. Glad for both of you. “she’s a beaut Clark!” 2
WHGuy413 2,689 #18 Posted September 14, 2023 What a beautiful machine. Looks very well taken care of and will make you a great worker for many years to come. Both my grandfathers and my dad had Wheel Horses and I am lucky enough to own all of them. The sentimental value of them means a ton to me. 1

I am lucky to have several wheel horses from both grandpas. And this one my dad and I restored this winter both of my grandfathers owned this tractor and one point 2 5

I am pretty proud of how it came out. This was a tiller tractor most of its life. It’s hard life is over now. Mostly I’m happy that my dad gets to enjoy it again. He mowed with it when he was a teenager. Now he is 61 years old and tools around on it weekly
