stevasaurus 22,842 #1 Posted September 9, 2023 (edited) Here is what it looks liike when you draw it off the primary fermenter into the secondary fermenter...26 1/2 gallons There is a lot of yeast and grape stuff in the bottle while it still works it's Specific Gravity down. I need to re-rack in like 3 weeks to draw most of that off. Not too long after that, it will look like the wine that is 2 years old next to it. Takes 6 months to a year to be drinkable. squonk 41,291 #4 Posted September 9, 2023 Hope none of it goes BOOM! When I first met my wife we had dinner at her Mom's house. She was quite the character. I used the bathroom and went to dry my hands and noticed all of these purple towels. I asked, "What's up with all of the purple towels?" Her Mom answers, " I made wine and put the bottles in the bottom of the towel cabinet and they blew up! '
