RED-Z06 2,221 #26 Posted October 1, 2023 The hard part will be...most machine shops i found wouldn't machine the block unless it was a bare block, which would mean pulling the cam and crank. They said its a problem with having to clean the block after machining, cant put an assembled short block into the parts cleaner and the risk is metal getting inside. parks416 22 #27 Posted July 4 Well thought I would post a 6 month update. Ended up buying the oversize seat from onanparts.com. I couldn't find a machine shop anywhere within an hour from me willing to even look at it. So may dad and I ended up pressing the new seat in and peened some of the aluminum around it. We'll see how long it lasts. My dad has a plasma cutter so also had him cut some vent hole strips in the belt cover to help displace some heat. Been mowing with it since the spring. My wife loves mowing with it, so now if it comes loose again maybe I can talk her into buying a new engine lol. Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
