Bought a 1967 Ford 2000

I picked this up yesterday.  It's my fourth Ford tractor, following a 1944 2N, a 1947 8N and a 1957 640.  This is my first "blue" Ford tractor and my first one with the 3 cylinder engine (gas).

I grew up driving a 1967 Ford 4000 diesel on the farm.

That was my dad's favorite tractor and the one he kept till the end.

That was a 3 cyl as well.

Very nice indeed!  I spent many a summer right out of college piloting and wrenching on late sixties and early seventies ford Diesel tractors at the golf course.  It  brings back fond memories before adulting

Nice! My dad has a 3000 gas tractor. 2 stage clutch, good working machine. Those 3 cylinder engines have a completely different sound to them and lots of RPM's.

I wish this one had power steering, which was an option on these tractors and there are kits out there to convert it at around $600-$700.  I also wish it had the dual range transmission (8 speed).   I want to get a seat like this:  https://www.tractorsupply.com/tsc/product/countyline-universal-adjustable-seat-blue-510000bl-cnl

 

I also want to buy the decals for the hood.

  Decals would really make that one look good!

Any brand of tractor (even our beloved WH’s) look unfinished without decals
