Tonytoro416 1,034 #4 Posted August 18, 2023 First motorcycle I ever road looked like that bike. 1962 triumph. It was like the last picture there a true 70s machine. Front end was raked wayy out. Hard tail of course. We will just say learning to ride two wheels on something that took a football field to turn around maybe wasn’t the best idea. Lol. We had a blast though
Tonytoro416 1,034 #5 Posted August 18, 2023 If I remember correctly those triumphs were 650 cc? That sound right ?
Stormin 9,981 #6 Posted August 18, 2023 T120 Triumph Bonniville 650cc twin. I've had two. A 1964 that would do what the numbers said. 120mph. Some towrag stole it one night. T'other was a 1970 ex police bike. 95 mph top speed when I got it. I did a few mods. Hi lift camshaft. Polished and balanced con rods. Gas flowed head. No air filter and re-jetted carbs with bell mouth intakes. Silencers changed for less restricted ones. Could hit 140 mph. In my late teens/early 20's I used to tune T120 engines for a couple of friends who raced in clubman events. Quite successfully. They had two engines each. One for a spare just in case of a blow up. Never needed the spares. Not that I'm bragging.

Getting married his old lady told him the bike goes or she does. After all these years i wonder if he made the right choice.
