Recommended Posts

When i turn switch on i don’t have any lights at all, my green wire going to the headlights doesn’t have power. Not sure if it’s a bad switch ?

Most lighting circuits are fused. However, some are not and the green wire which you speak of comes directly from the engine, through a switch to the lights. So, please let us know the year and model of your tractor.

A bad ground on the lights would also prevent them from working.

Got to ask the obvious, too - are the bulbs good?  I've never, ever been tripped up by anything like that.  Nope, not me.  Not ever. :eusa-whistle:

Do the back lights work? If not, then I would guess its a fuse. If they do, then you need to trace the wiring from the light switch to the lights.2036808256_Screenshot_20230817-1124442.png.93402463cd981947fbd2b351e9062a46.png

none of lights work, no power to any of the lights and fuse is good it’s a 25 instead of 30 but still don’t work with 30 in it?

Check both sides of the light switch. If you have power at the fuse side, and power at the light side when on, then the problem has to be in the green wire. When you are testing for 12 volts, what are you using for ground?

The battery ground

Since your answer is that you do have 12 volts at the light fuse (A), then the only other place to check is the switch (B)

If switch (B) has 12 volts at both sides, your green wire is the culprit.

I had a (similar) problem on a 520H I bought. No lights worked. it turned out they were all were blown from a bad regulator putting out too much voltage! Fuse block and 9 pin was melting too!

not sure if that’s my problem, i think it’s either the switch or green wire, but the regulator also don’t work or something since the battery don’t charge

Start at the regulator. Grounds are an issue. Make sure they are GOOD!

The tail lights don't go through the 9 pin connector so if they don't work and you have power past the 15 amp fuse it's the light switch.
