Matt0000 1 #1 Posted August 16, 2023 When i turn switch on i don’t have any lights at all, my green wire going to the headlights doesn’t have power. Not sure if it’s a bad switch ?
ri702bill 8,738 #2 Posted August 16, 2023 What type of tractor? Do you have the manual??
rmaynard 15,801 #3 Posted August 16, 2023 Most lighting circuits are fused. However, some are not and the green wire which you speak of comes directly from the engine, through a switch to the lights. So, please let us know the year and model of your tractor.
8ntruck 7,256 #4 Posted August 16, 2023 A bad ground on the lights would also prevent them from working. Got to ask the obvious, too - are the bulbs good? I've never, ever been tripped up by anything like that. Nope, not me. Not ever. 1

rmaynard 15,801 #11 Posted August 17, 2023 (edited) Do the back lights work? If not, then I would guess its a fuse. If they do, then you need to trace the wiring from the light switch to the lights. Edited August 17, 2023 by rmaynard

rmaynard 15,801 #15 Posted August 17, 2023 Check both sides of the light switch. If you have power at the fuse side, and power at the light side when on, then the problem has to be in the green wire. When you are testing for 12 volts, what are you using for ground?

Wayne0 707 #18 Posted August 20, 2023 I had a (similar) problem on a 520H I bought. No lights worked. it turned out they were all were blown from a bad regulator putting out too much voltage! Fuse block and 9 pin was melting too!

Grounds are an issue. Make sure they are GOOD!
Lee1977 6,917 #21 Posted August 24, 2023 The tail lights don't go through the 9 pin connector so if they don't work and you have power past the 15 amp fuse it's the light switch.
