….as if I didn’t have enough of them. LOL
Anyway, here’s a couple pics of my ‘91 312-8 in it’s new home. It came with a rear discharge (on it) and a side discharge 48”?First thing it needs is a fuel pump, I’m going electric.

Well I did a couple laps around the yard riding the bulb

Wow, what a comfortable ride and easy to drive! It’s also very…..agricultural 😂 the blades sound like they’re spinning very casually rather than the frenzied turbo whirl of my other lawn tractors.

I hope wifey doesn’t like the “everything manual” aspect of it.

A glamour shot

Thank you

Rode the bulb again today for about 2.5 hours…… observation: I wish there was a 1.5st gear. Fuel pump should be here Thursday.
I'm thinking about adding a cup holder🤷‍♂️

Wheel-N-It

You have a good example of one of the best Wheel Horses ever manufactured.

I’ve had the same thought and wished for a 2.5 gear as well!

(Admittedly, I’ve been spoiled by the rear engine rider Snapper’s 5-speed friction drive--not strong enough for anything but mowing or sweeping, but terrific for speed adjustment!)

Yeah, they're Goldilocks tractors. First is a little too slow and second a little too fast. Put a smaller pulley on the trans or go find an auto and have another tractor... Choose the latter. I do like that Snapper drive!

You could even take that one step further.

Get another tractor that's a manual. Change pulley on that. Then get the hydro tractor.

Mocked up the fuel pump

Is this how the brake pedal should be at rest?

The corner of the running board is bent up. Bend it back down so it serves as a pedal stop.

Bending it down would have the pedal come even farther back.

Finished the fuel pump install. I put a fuse between the battery and the relay and another between the relay and the pump. Works as it should 👍🏻
