Mike_eash 59 #1 Posted August 12, 2023 Hello First off I want to thank everyone who has answered my questions lately! I am doing my first restoration am new to the forum but have posted several questions and got great responses! Special thanks to pullstart he has posted a reply to all my questions! Love the forum has helped my a lot With that being said I found these numbers on my front axle 2/8/8 also I attached a picture What do these mean? it almost seems like it might be a manufacturer date which would be nice as I am trying to figure out exactly what year charger I have. I believe someone put different decals on from what it originally was . I also have reason to believe the model number is not original Any input is always appreciated Thank you in advance

wallfish 17,000 #3 Posted August 12, 2023 A Casting date ??? That's my best guess since we have seen that on other parts Feb 8 1968

8ntruck 7,007 #5 Posted August 12, 2023 My guess would be a casting date or a heat number for the iron melt used in the casting.

That's my best guess since we have seen that on other parts Feb 8 1968 It would make sense that it would be 1968 that would match my model # which is a charger 9 Someone must have put charger 10 decals on it at some point Thank you!!
