Wheel Horse 1076 Info needed

Recommended Posts

rustyedge1

Looking at this machine at auction, I know the owner who passed. He bought it new and used it for plowing snow only and some mowing.

Believe it is all original with deck and dozer blade.

Any info on value from your experience would be appreciated..Ballpark...

Thanks in advance.

Also is they're supposed to be something in the center slot photo'd ??

Value out where you are is less than up here.

If that tractor runs and you can test the hydro transmission to be sure it's good then the machine is worth maybe 300 to 400.

A non running hydro is a $200 parts tractor.

If the dozer blade is complete and not unreasonably worn, that's worth a good 100 to 150.

Mowing deck likely the same.

My opinion the deck isn't worth much. After using aTac-A- Matic deck for 44 years I wouldn't use it unless I modifited it. And I have one just like it, well most of it. Gave one part away that's need to make it work.

Motor strong at low or high speed no noises or smoke, I tried the transmission out, seems good will pull the front wheel off the ground, no slipping. Blade looks complete.

It looks all origonal and all there, I assume it's there, but I can't see the axle bracket.               Plus you have some history.          Probably a $500 bill for the package at my auction.

Nothing belongs in the slot.  The markings are wore off of the plate but is a marker for the Hydrostat.  To show neutral or forward or reverse

Probably laying around somewhere, will look things over if I get it bought. Don't really need it but we all know how that goes.

Looks like an ideal tractor to find at an auction. All original and it runs! I'd say go for it! Im with @Ed Kennell on this. Probably every bit of $500 bucks ±$50 around here for the package.

Years and years of plowing means a lot of vibration and twisting forces were sent into the rear axle bracket and you NEED to look at the rear plate on the frame where the Unidrive bolts on to check for visual cracks. If it is cracked, it can be fixed, but requires disassembling it to repair / reinforce the frame right. Also check the condition of the lower steering support - it is cast iron and WILL break if the frame twists.

This 854 parts tractor frame was used only for plowing - frame is cracked and twisted, yet fixable.....
