peter lena 8,716 #1 Posted August 2, 2023 https://www.google.com/search?q=lucas+gear+lube&rlz=1C1CHBF_enUS866US866&oq=lucas+gear+lube&gs_lcrp=EgZjaHJvbWUyBggAEEUYOTIICAEQABgWGB4yCAgCEAA obviousely like lucas products , also mixed in synthetic gear oil since doing a recent change on transmission , inside of a week of use , the slight whine I had is gone , always keep an eye on my lubricants , no water or rust issues . shifting is smooth easy . also used the drainage oil , for a paint rub down . also did a mirror under deck check , all good , no build up / blades are clean and sharp. not related but all my wind turbines are sliently spinnng , house / shed . air in / air out . all engine oils are clean / fresh , pto belt drive belt easily spins deck . regularly keep an eye on things . pete 2 Share this post Link to post Share on other sites

Greentored 3,217 #4 Posted August 8, 2023 Great stuff! I tried straight 140w in a fully overhauled 8 speed that was still a little whiny in 2H. Worked great, but holy crap would it tug the engine down, even when it was 90 degrees out Went back to the Lucas and just let her make noise- year 3 now and alls well. 1 Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
