kpinnc 12,013 #26 Posted July 31, 2023 Ya know, I remember many times in my youth seeing temps over 100, with matching humidity. It's just part of living in the south. But now I'm spoiled and old, and 92 just flat out sucks! I've started waiting until 7:00PM to mow the grass lately. Gives me two hours before dark, because you can't mow dew-covered mornings. Plus I no longer drag my dead butt out of bed before 8:00. Working from home has made me soft! 1

True but most if not all brands will throw in another five year parts warranty if you register your crap on line. Evidently your name and info is more valuable for marketing than anyone's product. Most likely not done right to begin with. Me: why did you not use a N2 purge when you brazed? Installer: The N2 bottle was empty cause i didn't check it before i left for the job. Dinner was waiting and I just giterdone. Me: Lost money on that job needless to say. Went to silver and never looked back We never had a problem with silver soldering unless the help had a tee time to make and rushed the procedure. 2 N2 bottles on the truck. 2 empty bottles! I think ( hope) you're talking 15% silver alloy rod that a lot of folks call silver solder but technically is a brazing rod. I'm taking guys using high silver solder that melts at low temps. Fitting joints are all shiny when look at them ..

rjg854 11,361 #29 Posted July 31, 2023 Quite a change for us the next couple of weeks, temps in the mid 70's to low 80's, which is cool for August. And with NW winds, we'll probably have to deal with the smoke out of Canada again.
