c100rider 137 #1 Posted July 27, 2023 Hi everyone. I'm new obviously. I bought a 1974 c-100 last year. I had an older wheel horse that my dad bought when I was in high school and I missed it. Looking forward to the conversations.

c100rider 137 #7 Posted July 28, 2023 I rebuilt the mower deck and painted it. Wasn't easy as I had to have a spindle shaft remade from scratch. 2

ebinmaine 67,729 #10 Posted July 28, 2023 @c100rider that's a nice looking tractor. Survivor or been restored? It still has the original Nelson muffler and a usable 2 piece seat. Any particular plans for it?

I am still looking for the chute extension for it. I would like to tear her down and clean and repaint and rebuild. Not sure when I will be able to start that project. I dont have a garage, I'm working outta my basement.

Absolutely nothing wrong with working out of the basement as long as it's well lit, reasonably dry, and you are conscious of how to get things in and out of there unless you have to walk out door. The size of the mowing deck that you have? I have a couple of older ones that are no longer usable so I'm wondering if I have an extension you could use.

I bought a chute from a guy but it's incorrect according to my manual. I'm looking for the extension that bolts on top of the deck that has the extra roller. You know what I'm about?
rjg854 11,389 #17 Posted July 28, 2023 Nice job redoing that deck. I like the accent with the black paint.

I believe I have at least 2 or 3 nearly complete older ones though.

Handy Don 12,265 #24 Posted July 28, 2023 (edited) WH owners show up at a number of tractor and machinery shows -- mostly in the midwest and mid-Atlantic, with at least one show in Florida. The Wheel Horse Collectors club runs a WH-only show the weekend after Fathers’ Day every year in Biglerville, PA. Edited July 28, 2023 by Handy Don
